Media Vista CEO and Executive Vice President to be Inducted into Junior Achievement Hall of Fame

mediavistajunior(Naples, FL) – Media Vista Group is proud to announce Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida will recognize Media Vista CEO Orlando Rosales and Executive Vice President Mayela Rosales on Oct. 29 inducting the business leaders into the 2013 Business Hall of Fame.

The prestigious award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs serving as role models for youth through their professional accomplishments and commitment to the community. For the first time since its inception in 1987, two pairs of laureates will be inducted on the same evening. John DeAngelis and David Diamond of DeAngelis Diamond and Orlando and Mayela Rosales of Media Vista Group will join a distinguished group of individuals.

CEO of Media Vista Orlando Rosales said, “I am humbled by all that Junior Achievement does for children and dedicated to continuing to help children in our community.”

In 1996, Mayela and Orlando Rosales came to the United States from Venezuela seeking new opportunities and have since built a multi-platform national media conglomerate.  Orlando Rosales is the CEO of Media Vista Group which also owns Univision SW Florida (WUVF), Azteca America SW Florida (WANA) Univision Kansas City (KUKC), Univision Minnesota (WUMN) D’Latinos magazine, and dlatinos.com

Both Orlando and Mayela actively serve the community, and Orlando was a member of the President’s Council of Hodges University in Southwest Florida and is on the advisory board of BB&T in Southwest Florida. Both Orlando and Mayela graduated from the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation’s Broadcast Leadership Training program (BLT), in Washington D.C.

“I love Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida and the Junior Achievers will be the future of our business community, so it is important to leave a legacy by example for our youth,” said D’Latinos al Dia Host and Azteca America SWFL Vice President Mayela Rosales.

Mayela, the co-host of the D’Latinos program, serves on the board of directors of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, the American Cancer Society of Collier County, Conservancy of Southwest Florida and Fifth Third Bank.

Mayela also has served on The Children’s Museum of Naples board and has also helped sponsoring non-profits such as Literacy Volunteers, American Heart Association, Cancer Alliance of Naples, among many others. Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart honored Mayela as one of the 100 most influential Latinas in the USA in 2009 and Cape Coral proclaimed April 1 as “Mayela Rosales Day” in honor of her contributions to the Hispanic community.
